Shelves and Sheds / Green House Dome
Peter Steady

Years ago I became interested in Geodesic Design
The idea was to take a sphere and inscribe equilateral triangles
inside of it to form a 3 dimensional object .
This object in turn was broken down into frequencies.

Every point of every triangle makes contact with the skin of the sphere

and by dividing the triangles into more frequencies
the end result is a more spherical object even though the struts
(legs of the triangle) are straight pieces that produce a maze
of hexagons and pentagons.

The end result is an oject that encloses an area that can absorb
a maximum amount of daily sun light, and become quite warm
even on a cool sunny day.

The Ultimate Green House.

Our First Green House has been chosen to be used from mid February on.
Constructed from wood.
We will not be attempting to total seal it up, so we are applying plastic
sheeting to the individual triangles prior to the assembly.

This project is scheduled to begin on the week end of February 19 + 20.
Pictures of the project will be posted soon afterward.
